This policy covers the LidSynth macOS app and lidsynth.com, provided by Panlab Limited.

The Mac app

LidSynth does not collect, transmit or share personal data. It has no accounts, advertising, analytics or tracking. The app works offline and does not record audio or access your microphone.

Your sound edits, named sounds, keyboard preferences and lid calibration are saved only in the app’s preferences on your Mac. They are not uploaded to us. The lid angle is read from the Mac’s built-in sensor solely to control the instrument’s volume; it is not recorded or transmitted.

This website

We do not use analytics, advertising cookies or tracking scripts. Language selection and sound previews run in your browser. Audio plays only when you choose to listen.

The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like other web hosting providers, Cloudflare processes technical request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the website. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. We do not add visitor profiles or analytics to this site.

If you contact us

If you send us an email, we use the information you choose to share to respond and help with your question. Please avoid sending passwords or other sensitive information. The Mac App Store and Apple’s services have their own privacy policies.
